In this time of unimaginable tragedy, I want to express my sympathies and condolences to the families of the five soldiers killed in Afghanistan, particularly of Aaron Toppen of Mokena, Illinois and Justin Clouse of Sprague, Washington who were stationed at Fort Carson. Their honorable service to our country in the name of freedom around the world will be forever remembered and my thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and service members who were part of their lives.
